Committed to the Dedication
What does it mean to remain committed to the dedication?
There are many things that one may dedicate to God: our homes and our children are two common examples. When you dedicate things or people to the Lord you aren’t supposed to just place them in God’s hands and walk away. That doesn’t take commitment at all. Actually, the person who is dedicating their home or children to the Lord are publicly declaring that they, themselves are committed to helping the one being dedicated. In other words, you are committed to living a life that will help your loved ones remain in a fruitful relationship with God and others. The parent or homeowner, must take steps to have an active commitment to seeing their homes blessed or their children remaining spiritually successful.
The onus is truly on each individual to make sure your life is dedicated to God and you stay committed to being a good example for those around you.
Here are three things one must do in order to create a good example and pattern of commitment to the dedication:
✅ Active and Sincere Prayer Life (Pray individually and corporately. Pray with your family and with others. Don’t minimize the power of a healthy prayer life)
✅ Fellowship and Connection with the people in the church (connection with the body of believers. You must stay connected to the body and proactively keep good influences around you and your children.)
✅ Committed to the Word of God (Discipleship, Reading the Word and Applying/activating the Word. The Word brings light and life to every person who believes it, reads it, prays it and applies it)
